Experts gather to address cultural differences and inequalities that arise from the use of language when cooperating internationally. The aim is to promote international cultural collaborations in a manner that recognises different working modalities and acknowledges unequal systems while promoting mutual respect across cultural differences.
The gathering covers ethical as well as practical questions. The discussions are supported by a keynote from Rasmus Nilausen, a Danish born Barcelona based painter who deals with painting as yet another language to be translated, deciphered and most likely misunderstood. The findings will be bundled in a report to be published after the meeting.
