We’re excited to share some great news with you: we’ve announced the first programmes of Re:Creating Europe (1-3 June 2016).
Among the programmes are a theatrical journey through the life of Hungarian author György Konrád, a conversation between Arnon Grunberg and Ulrich Seidl and a programme with Belgian political philosopher Chantal Mouffe and theatre director Milo Rau about the border between politics and performance.
About Re:Creating Europe
What are the cultural values that unite us? How can art and culture offer creative solutions for problems that seem to be splitting us apart? And how can European artists shape the future of Europe? On 1, 2, and 3 June 2016, artists and thinkers from all over Europe will come together for ‘Re:Creating Europe’, the first edition of the Forum on European Culture. Contributors include Rem Koolhaas (architect, the Netherlands), Céline Sciamma (film director, France), Johan Simons (theatre director, the Netherlands), Philipp Blom (historian, Germany), Chantal Mouffe (political scientist, Belgium), Milo Rau (theatre director, Switzerland), György Konrád (writer, Hungary) and Arnon Grunberg (writer, the Netherlands).
