Albert Jan Kruiter (The Netherlands) is the founder of the Instituut voor Publieke Waarden (IPW), a research institute that motivates citizens to solve common societal problems and think in new ways about common goods. He gives lectures and workshops on the workings of social systems, the problems of democracy and the idea of loyalty in society. Kruiter has written several books and published in various newspapers and journals. He has been awarded the prestigious G.A. Van Poelje Prijs for his dissertation on public administration in the Netherlands and Belgium.
