Beatrix Ruf

Beatrix Ruf (Germany, 1960) is a German art curator and currently the director of the Stedelijk Musuem Amsterdam. She has previously been, just to list a few, the director of the Kunsthalle Zurich and Kunsthaus Glarus and in 2006 she was the curator of the third edition of the Tate Triennial. Ruf has a faultless eye for young talent and an infallible radar for the ‘zeitgeist’, which make her an in-demand jury member and expert for public and independent collections. In 2012, she was listed in the top ten of the most influential people in the art world by ArtReview.

Beatrix Ruf contributes to 1 Night, 12 Hours, 100 Questions – Interview Marathon – June 1 18:00 in De Balie.
