Kishore Mahbubani

Kishore Mahbubani (Singapore, 1948) is a Singaporean former diplomat and currently Professor in the Practice of Public Policy and Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. He has served for over 30 years in Singapore’s diplomatic service and was Singapore’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, during which he was the President of the UN Security Council in 2001 and 2002. He is best known outside of Singapore for his books Can Asians Think and New Asian Hemisphere: the irresistible shift of global power.
