Peter Ho (The Netherlands) is a Professor of Chinese Economy and Development at the Technical University of Delft. He has also worked for the European Research Council (ERC) on the Project on Land Policy and Administration in China, one of the top research programs in the EU. Being of Chinese descent, Ho speaks Mandarin fluently, which is why between 1994 and 2002 he was the personal translator for the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Agriculture. Meanwhile, he wrote his dissertation at the University of Leiden. Besides his academic work, Ho works on government projects for both the Dutch and the Chinese government to improve economic relations and develop the Chinese economy.
