Tom Holland

Tom Holland (1968, GB) is a British writer and historian, who has published several popular works on classical and medieval history as well as creating two documentaries. He is the author of award-winning books such as Rubicon: The Triumph and Tragedy of the Roman Republic, Persian Fire, Millennium: The End of the World and the Forging of Christendom and In the Shadow of the Sword.  He is the presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Making History. He has written and presented a number of TV documentaries, on subjects ranging from religion to dinosaurs. Holland served two years as the Chair of the Society of Authors and was on the committee of the Classical Association.
