How can we present the European Union in an attractive way to its citizens in these unstable times? How can Europe’s story of peace, cooperation and solidarity be communicated in a new and attractive way to large audiences?

During a 4-day Eurolab photographer Wolfgang Tillmans and architects Rem Koolhaas & Stephan Petermann, together with a group of artists and creatives from all over Europe, have gone on a 4-day fact-finding mission what has gone wrong in the last 25 years of communicating Europe and how to make a new start. During the last day of the Forum on European Culture they will share the outcomes and present a comprehensive toolbox of ideas, visuals and strategies that can be used to communicate the EU in times of rising nationalism, populism and the growing support of far-right parties. How can we rebrand the EU?

The Eurolab, an initiative of Forum on European Culture & initiators Wolfgang Tillmans, Rem Koolhaas and Stephan Petermann, takes place during the second edition of the Forum on European Culture in Amsterdam. During a 4-day programme of workshops and interviews sessions they explore new ideas to communicate the EU in the run-up to the European elections in May 2019.
